The Merry People Tully boot in Chilli Red is a bold, fashion-led take on the ankle wellington: a bright red natural rubber upper sits on a chunky gum-coloured platform sole, finished with a sky blue detail and a wrap-around neoprene cuff.

It is the colour that does the work here – a cheerful red that lifts a grey day and goes with denim, black or navy. The chunky sole gives a little extra height and grip, and the neoprene lining softens with wear, so they feel more comfortable the more you wear them.
